KNOW all Men by these Presents, that We Sarah Lewis of the Town of Reading in Berks County widow and Relict of William Lewis deceased, Daniel Morris & John Morris both of the same place are held and firmly bound unto Henry Christ Register of the Probate of Wills and Granting Letters of Administration in and for the County of Berks, in the Sum of two thousand Pounds, Lawful Money of Pennsylvania, to be paid to the said Henry Christ Register, his certain Attorney, Executors, Administrators of Assigns. To which Payment well & truly be made, we bind ourselves, our Heirs, Executors, & Administrators, and every of them; Jointly & Severally for in the Whole, firmly by these Presents. Sealed with our Seals, dated the 4th Day of March Anno Domini 1786


The Condition of this Obligation is such, that if the above bound Sarah Lewis Administrat ix of all and singular the Good,


Chattels, Rights & Credits which were of William Lewis ~ deceased, do make a true & perfect Inventory which here of William Lewis ~ deceased, do make, or caused to be made, a true and perfect Inventory of all & singular the Goods, Chattels Rights & Credits, which were of the said Deceased within said County which have, or come to the Hands, Possession or Knowledge of the said Sarah Lewis ~~~~~ or into the Hands, Possession or Knowledge or any other person or persons for her and the same so made , do exhibit, or cause to be exhibited, into the Register’s Office at Reading, in and for the County of Berks at or before the fourth ~~ Day of April ~~ next, and the same Goods, Chattels Rights & Credits, which were of the said Deceased at the Time of his death or at which time heretofore have come, or hereafter shall come into the Hands, Possession or Knowledge of the said Sarah Lewis or of any other Person or Persons for her do well and truly administer according to law, And further to make, or cause to be made, a true and just Account, Calculation or Reckoning of her said Administration, at or before the ~~~ fourth Day of March in the Year of Our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty seven And all of the Rest & Residue which shall be found remaining upon the said adminstrt rix’s Account, the same being first examined and allowed of by the Orphan’s Court of the County of Berks, shall deliver and pay unto such person, or persons, as the said Court by its Decree or sentence shall limit and appoint. And if it shall hereafter appear that any last Will & Testament was made by the said Deceased, and the Executor, or Executors, therein named, do exhibit the Same into the said Register’s Office …..
